Treating long, lush lashes is a lust-worthy beauty trick. However, achieving them often comes with plumpers, mascaras and glues that are laden with harsh chemicals. Luckily there are some natural at-home treatments that can give you longer, thicker lashes without any of the unwanted extras. Here are our top six natural ways to achieve amazing eyelashes.

1. Invest in an eyelash brush: Brush your lashes daily with an eyelash brush or comb to stimulate growth.

2. Give your eyes a massage: Gently massage your eyelids with your fingertips to increase blood flow and help stimulate hair follicles.

3. Use caster oil: Organic cold-pressed castor bean oil (Hexan-free) is rich in nutrients and has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that encourage hair growth. Apply a few drops with an eyeliner brush or cotton swap to the upper lash line and lashes daily, preferably in the evening before bed. Note: It’s good for your eyebrows too!

4. Strengthen with aloe vera: Strengthen your lashes with fresh aloe vera leaf juice or aloe vera gel. Apply with a clean mascara wand.

5. A swipe of green tea: The caffeine and flavonoids in green tea maintain existing hair and stimulate new hair growth. Soak a cotton ball in fresh brewed green tea and swipe across lashes.

6. Try a biotin boost: Eat a healthy diet of foods high in the B vitamin biotin. It’s rich in eggs, bran, seafood, chicken, beef, dairy, walnuts and many veggies. You can also supplement for an added boost.
