We are currently looking to hire an EDITOR for Toronto. As a rapidly growing company, our publications are setting higher than ever standards for editorial quality. Publishing in the fast pace and changing industries requires us to provide the latest news, research, new product developments, and merchandizing techniques in superbly designed magazines.
The candidate must already be a talented and prolific editor and writer with at least 3 years experience in Publishing and a degree/certificate in journalism.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- Revising articles
- Writing headlines and captions
- Reviewing page proofs
- Ensuring that information is acknowledged in a form appropriate to the publication.
- Planning the artwork, illustrations, and photos
- Interviewing for articles.
- Occasionally contribute articles.
- Liaising with art and production department.
- Representing the magazine at industry events.
- Following the trends of the industry relating to the publication.
The preferred candidate will:
- Be highly competent with Word, Excel, and Quark on a MAC platform.
- Connect easily with our vision of who the readers are.
- Have a keen interest for dietary supplement and personal care health products, the research behind them, the benefits they provide, and how they are used.
- Have a background and interest in business writing.
-Knowledge of retailing business is important.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, liasing between the different departments, building ongoing relationships with suppliers and customers and being an integral part of operations.

Overall Description:
Design, Develop and maintain high-quality web pages utilizing the best coding practices and following industry standards.
Ensure that all web projects are undertaken with Search Engine Optimization in consideration.
Migrate our current sites towards a mobile-friendly version.
Determine requirements of projects to develop realistic deadlines and costs.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of industry experience; Equivalencies will be considered
Exceptional understanding of web technologies and processes
Strong knowledge of HTML, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, CSS and Database design.

With the rapid growth of the company we are seeking to add a Sales Assistant to our team.
Overall Description:
Reporting directly to the Publisher.
Assisting in all steps of the sales process.
Following up with clients etc.
Managing sales contact database.
Researching new contacts & sales leads.
Personality traits desired:
Flexible, creative, strong organizational skills, and multitasking ability
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and execute direction from the Publisher with minimal supervision
Excellent client service skills
Eager to take on new responsibilities as required
